Thermally tempered glass is a monolithic glass that is gradually heated to a softening temperature between 575ºC and 635ºC and then cools very quickly. In this way it is achieved that the glass has greater structural and impact resistance than untreated glass, having the additional advantage that in case of breakage it fragments into small harmless pieces (which is why it is considered a security glass).
