Double Glazed Glass

The double glazed glass is two or more monolithic glass sheets, separated from each other by dehydrated air chambers. The separation between the 2 glass is done by means of an aluminum separator, inside which a desiccant product is introduced, and the tightness is ensured by a double perimeter seal. The interest of this type of glass is its better thermal and acoustic insulation. If you want to give good noise insulation, it is necessary to use glass sheets of different thicknesses to avoid possible resonances.

Glass cut to size.

Air chamber glass 4/10/3+3

Glass formed by 2 panes, 1 monolithic 4 mm thick and another laminated 6 mm thick (3+3), with a 10 mm air chamber

The 3+3 mm laminated glass is a safety glass, so this chamber glass is used for places that are above the head, in case of breakage the glass remains hooked on the inner adhesive sheet. Laminated glass is shatter-resistant and does not break in the event of a crash, thus preventing injury to people and damage to nearby objects.

To have good acoustic insulation, the quality of the carpentry is just as important as the type of glass and its placement. The carpentry can harm the insulation provided by the glass, so it is necessary to always study the acoustic insulation of the windows as a glass + carpentry set.

Acoustic insulation 4/10/3+3 silence: 36 dB

Set consisting of two or more sheets of monolithic float glass, separated from each other by dehydrated air chambers. The separation between the glasses is made by means of an aluminum separator, inside which a desiccant product is introduced, and the tightness is ensured by a double perimeter seal. The interest of this type of glass is its better thermal and acoustic insulation. If you want to give a good acoustic performance, it is necessary to use windows of different thicknesses to avoid possible resonances.

The progressive increase in the thickness of the chamber provides a gradual reduction in thermal and acoustic transmittance.

APPLICATIONS: Frequent use on refrigerator counters, where they are placed to preserve the cold inside the refrigerators. Wine fridge. Framed doors, aluminum, wood and PVC windows, and places that want to be insulated from both excessive cold and heat. It is also used in recording booths for its acoustic insulation.

IMPORTANT: When taking the measurements, use a quality meter, if this is not the case, there may be differences between the measurements that you take and those that we send you.

Glass is a very fragile material, it cannot be very tight to rigid frames. To prevent it from breaking due to expansion, the glass will always measure both in width and height 4 mm less than that of the place where it should be installed. The free space must be filled with silicone.

Important

When you take the measurements, use a quality meter; If not, there may be differences between the measurements you take and the ones we send you. Glass is a very fragile material so it cannot be very tight to rigid frames.

To prevent it from breaking due to expansion, the glass should always measure 4 mm less than the place where it should be installed, both in width and height. The space that remains free must be filled with silicone.
