The mirror is a monolithic glass with a thin layer of silver or aluminum. Mirrors cut to size
Double Glazed Glass
The double glazed glass is two or more monolithic glass sheets, separated from each other by dehydrated air chambers. The separation between the 2 glass is done by means of an aluminum separator, inside which a desiccant product is introduced, and the tightness is ensured by a double perimeter seal. The interest of this type of glass is its better thermal and acoustic insulation. If you want to give good noise insulation, it is necessary to use glass sheets of different thicknesses to avoid possible resonances.
Boro-silicate Glass (Pyrex)
The extra clear borosilicate glass (Pyrex) is resistant to high temperatures, very resistant to strong acids, saline solutions, chlorine, bromide, iodine and organic materials. It resists up to 450ºC continuously and 500ºC less than 10 hours.
Shielding Lead Glass
Transparent shielding lead glass is a monolithic transparent glass with high lead content that prevents the passage of radiation through it, such as xrays. Therefore, it is ideal for installation in radiology rooms.
Wire reinforced glass is a printed monolithic glass bearing incorporated therein a metal mesh welded 11x11mm square lattice. They are considered safety glasses, since in case of breakage the pieces are attached to the mesh avoiding their fall and that these can cause injuries. This makes it suitable for risk areas and where additional security is needed, although it is not an anti-theft glass.
The ceramic glass Neoceram is resistant to high temperatures. Its main property is that it has no expansion up to 800ºC. This is a ceramic glass that gives it this resistance to temperature. Neoceram it is the type of glass recommended by manufacturers of fireplaces and stoves. Main advantages of NEOCERAM:
- Unalterable to heat.
- Withstands thermal shock up to 800 ºC.
- Full transparency.
- Easy cleaning. A damp cloth is enough to remove the soot or ash residue, even with the hot glass.
- Neoceram knows no limits other than those of manufacturing. Any window size is possible in one piece.
The quartz glass is made of pure silice (Si02 - Silice Dioxide), which gives it exceptional properties.
- Resistant to very high temperatures 1300ºC.
- Low thermal expansion.
- Low coefficient of thermal expansion, it can be heated and cooled without risk of breakage due to thermal shock.
- Good optical transmission of ultraviolet rays, does not heat up with the passage of ultraviolet light.
- High purity, + 99% SiO2.
- High dielectric strength.
- Low electrical conductivity.
- Good micro-wave transmission.
The monolithic glass does not have any treatment. It is the common glass. It is called "annealed" or "float", terms that refer to its manufacturing process.
Float glass or monolithic glass consists of a sheet of glass manufactured by floating the molten glass on a layer of molten tin. This method gives the glass a uniform thickness and a very flat surface. It is also called flat glass.
Thermally tempered glass is a monolithic glass that is gradually heated to a softening temperature between 575ºC and 635ºC and then cools very quickly. In this way it is achieved that the glass has greater structural and impact resistance than untreated glass, having the additional advantage that in case of breakage it fragments into small harmless pieces (which is why it is considered a security glass).
Laminated glass is made up of two or more monolithic glass sheets joined together by interposing sheets of plastic material (polyvinyl butyral PVB or ethyl-vinyl acetate EVA).
In the event of breakage, the pieces of glass remain attached to the butyral, preventing its detachment and preventing it from passing through it. For this reason it is a double security glass, since it prevents injuries to people and damage to nearby objects, as well as the passage through it, which in turn prevents theft. The more sheets of glass make up the laminated glass, the safer it is.
